I am one of those people who needs eyeliner...like...EYE NEED EYELINER &%$@!!! Really though, I just think it makes such a big difference! And while many people think black is too harsh, I have dark hair, dark eyes, tanned skin, so I feel I need the harshness of black to stand out against my features!

That said, I have tried so so so many eyeliners, some were epic failures, some were Holy Grail status..and others I use because they are neither here nor there, know what I'm saying?!

Pro's:

• No sharpening required (i prefer pencils because I like a sharp point for detailed application, but this would be more convenient on the go!)
• Decent wear on the lid (did not last well on my water line at all!)
• Relatively cheap! I got it for around 6$ at Rexall Pharmaplus (Canadian Drugstore)
  
• Waterproof formula means it's long-lasting (the swatch on my hand took so long to come off, which I guess is a good sign?!)

Cons:

• the automatic feature makes it hard to get precise line, so this is best if your going for the 'smokey' effect
• i really wanted this to last on my water line...I hear the other waterproof PENCIL liners by Prestige are much better in that arena, I will probably try that one soon!
• Black was not black enough for me-- I get much much better pigmentation with my Annabelle Waterproof Smudgeliner in Black (which is super super duper black!!!!)
  

See? it's pretty black, but not WA-BAM! Which is sort of essential for me (don't judge)! All in all, it's a great drugstore automatic liner, but not my ultimate fave. Best for girls who like the convenience of a non-sharpening eyeliner in a less dramatic colour (which I would think is a great number of those working ladies who need to be office apropo! ;) )

At this point, It is pretty obvious I love purple things...SO Rimmel's New(ish) Sexy Curves Mascara is pretty much as purple as mascara gets (packaging wise, any how!).

Shade: 003 Extreme Black

Price: $6.97 CDN at Wal-Mart

Application: hard to get used to brush, plastic applicator allows less clumping, but not fool-proof by any means!

****TIP**** The only way I can get this to work for me is to hold a business card as a "wall" between eye lid and lashes, so when I apply, I can really work the brush into my lashes WITHOUT the awful smudging that can get all over your lids (especially a pain when you have eye shadow so nicely applied!!)

Pros: Great length and curl, not as much volume, slight clumping together of lashes, but nothing extreme enough for me to not like the mascara. Hasn't flaked on me at all, wears well throughout the day! I also like the intensity of the black :)

Cons: Brush is a weird shape, makes it hard to get all the lashes, as well as clumps some of them together, plastic applicator takes getting used to and will hurt severely if you poke your eye (but I guess that goes with every wand, doesn't it!?) And I must use the 'business card trick' in order to not make a huge mess with this mascara!

To be honest, I had forsaken this pretty purple tube because I didn't *understand* it... but alas, the time to embrace curves is now! I really like the length it gave my lashes, and using the business card helped me get the most out of this mascara! For 6-7$ I would say it's worth a shot! I have gal pals who love it too! Available at most drugstores, Wal-Mart, etc!
