Product Review: Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate

I will be the first to admit, I always always opt for lip balms/products in a tube or stick, I think pots are intensely unsanitary (swipe your finger in, then it gets sticky, you end up accumulating fuzz balls, small animals, hair, etc on your finger...not fun times you guys!) BUT I saw this at Sephora and am not quite sure what came over me, but I picked it up! It was 11$ and in Sephora, that price just seemed so much cheaper (in comparison to Dior...haha).

What's to love: It is super silky smooth and deposits a healthy amount of gorgeous pink on to your lips. Also, because it's so moisturizing, it doesn't fade unevenly, or wear off in patches on your lips (like a lipstick or lipstain might do)! I like it for those days when you just don't feel like wearing much product, this will really brighten up most skin tones!

How to use: If you have a brush--then by all means, apply it with one, if not, then ...*cringe* use your fingers, and make sure your hands are CLEAN people! Otherwise you risk not only contaminating the product with germs, but spreading the germs on your hand on to your mouth, whereby you may ingest it..*gasp* ALSO Sephora has it advertised as a cheek stain! I didn't like the texture on my face--but that is just *me* feel free to dab this gently on the apples of your cheeks, blending upwards toward your temples (not ON your temples, just blend in that direction!) for a healthy glow, you can leave it for a dewy look, or put powder blusher on top :)

What's In it?: It has Sephora's "Natural Seal" and is FREE of Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances and Dyes, Petro-Chemicals, and GMO (genetically modified organisms)

I have not posted in a while...this whole blogging business can get a wee bit discouraging at times...perhaps it is because my blogging skills are comparable to a four year old child's? Yes I suppose that is a factor...!

ANYWHO...I. am. so. thrilled. Illamasqua has blown up (not literally, please don't cry) in the UK as a trendy, high quality, beautiful make up line that offers makeup for "your alter ego". Aside from the amazing products, and beautiful promotional images, Illamasqua has been getting rave reviews! No thanks to the internet and youtube of course, it was only a matter of time before Sephora saw the enormous potential of bringing Illamasqua across the pond! When i heard, my first thoughts were "Oh that's great..but they won't ever come to Canada". Alas, I digress, and they WILL be able to ship to US! Not *the* U.S but us...as in Canada...*ahem* If you want to know what all the fuss is about...

1) Pixiwoo from youtube: These two make-up artist sisters from the UK are absolutely insanely beautiful, I guarantee you will be enthralled by their makeup videos..here is one using illamasqua products, but they use a few of them...DEF worth checking out

2) Wayne AKA Gossmakeupartist from Youtube: aside from being absolutely stunning, this Guru is sweet, down to earth, and extremely EXTREMELY knowledgable and helpful...you will not regret watching a minute of ANY of his videos--plus his accent= swoon. I am posting just one video--but he has a TON and he shows all the products, how to use them, who they are good for, etc. AMAZING!

3) Temptalia.com (Christine): Christine runs my all time favourite website...the immense work and talent she has shows in every post-- beware though--this site has TONS of information, your head might just fall off! 4) Whatstyleistonickel: I swear those English and their accents--it absolutely has me in a tizzy it does--I absolutely LOVE it! Another wonderful youtube make-up guru--> Richie Nickel is in one word: Fabulous. He also has many youtube videos, and some illamasqua reviews as well! love his look, his advice, just FAB! 5) JulieG: i love her videos..she's honest, sweet, talented and intensely gorgeous (boo on your Julie! haha) and also has some illamasqua reviews!

Bronzers are one of my favourite ways to add warmth to ANY face! Serious. Even pale gals, while you may need a sheerer application, lighter shade and light hand-- it is well worth it. Applied to the Temples, around cheek bones, chin, bridge of nose and blended in well, it can take you from "suburban pasty" to "brazilian babe" err...or close?
